W10D4 – Need some steel – awaiting the chippies

The last of the 1st floor was pretty much done today and we need to start putting the steel beams in place – guess what – no beams though 😉  there’s a little delay in getting these so it means we can spend some time preparing the single floor roof.

Our builder was surprised at looking at the drawings that the single storey had velux windows – hmmm  that’s not good considering they have always been on the plan.  Guess that’s another expense he wasn’t looking at when he quoted – but not changing the price for this though.

The rear door frame has been completed and now the place is starting to look like a building rather than a building site.  Dirty builder left the site in a state for the brickie to clear up and is becoming quite a pain in the arse… from what I can see he needs to be told everything – and multiple times – but that’s their problem.
