W10D3 – walls up to 1st floor complete all but steels.
Weather was poor yesterday, so only a little back-filling of the drain area was done, so no need to really make any commentary on that element. But today saw progress with the walls being raised to 1st floor and the retaining wall structure finished in the utility room.
Several holes was knocked through the outer course to locate the joists for attaching steels. We have a new hobbo whilst our usual one is on holiday and I can simply say he is not a Mark II version, more like a budget pilot version. Doesn’t seem to think for himself, messy in his working and seems to be more concerned about the little hand touching the 3 and him getting into his car and buggering off. I had to clean the road down after he left as this was left in a bogging state.
However, it is now time to think about clearing out the cupboards in the kitchen so a hunt for boxes and packing commences.
