W08D6 – Saturday Working for the Gorrillas… or not

Lance Moran from GorillaGrass Newport quoted us to deliver 15 4×4″ posts and dig holes and Postcrete™ them in, in order to have them go off in time to build up the garden.

So Saturday and Sunday was set aside for me to have the builders come and complete this work.  8am and builders arrive I think “fk me I must have been wrong about these chaps they are here early and ready to crack on”..  No – they was only here to pick up equipment to take to another job.  So I call Lance to see what the state of play was and he said he’s send some people over shortly.

10am and Lance and Simon, (lazy bloke who likes to smoke, drive and do very little else but tell everyone how they should be doing their jobs), turn up and I think – “fk me I must have been wrong about these chaps they are here and ready to crack on”..  No – they was only here to pick up some of the dust and scalpings to take to another job.  OK Lance WTF is going on and where are my workers as you have said this will be done by Monday…..

So 2:15 comes along and Phil and James turn up and have been designated as working on getting in the posts. The holes are dug and the boys get ready to Postcrete™ in the posts only to find Lance has skimped on the costs and bought concrete…  Things go pear shaped really quickly and after sticking the email where we agreed on Postcrete™ he asks the boys  to go to Wickes to pick some up.  This was at 3:45.  This is the last I saw of these chaps until Monday morning as Lance did not give them the money to buy the Postcrete™.

Complete waste of time this weekend.  2 days of glorious sunshine wasted.  I am definitely not Wrong in my estimation of Lance….
