W08D1 – More Daring Drains and walls going up…..

Looks like the Arco-drain out the front is a no-no – electricity and gas pipes are not deep enough to allow this drain to be built so builders are going to put 2 gulleys in to take the storm water through to the rear of the property.

Work commenced upon the retaining wall element, there is a little worry that we are not going to get the size we want in the utility room to allow us to have washer and dryer in the room – explained that was the sole purpose of the room and they needed to make it work whatever – this was not a point that was up for negotiation.  We have decided to put a smaller door in the back, move the lintel to the left close to the retainer and this gives us the room we need.
