W26D5 – Worktops are in – almost…

Well the day started out good – the worktop fitter turned up – full of the joys of spring and ready to rock and roll with the work surfaces.  That’s where the good news came to an abrupt halt….

The Breakfast bar was damaged and could not be used – so a phone call to B&Q managed to get us a replacement – however that would not be until 11/11/17 which was 2 weeks away.  So we continued with the rest of the units and tried to get on as far as we could.

During the process of sorting out the worktops, the electrics kept blowing and we came to the conclusion that the fitters router was buggered and he didn’t have a spare on on him.  So another hour down and the chap returns with a new router.  8 sands later the units are looking a little like they should – still not sparkling as we would like but that could come after the Breakfast bar is in – get the whole lot to shine.

Other bits to mention – the study and garage was skimmed and boarded and now are 80% functional – we just need the wiring and the garage door – this should be sometime this week.  I hope….

Still have the leak from the shower but B&Q on the case again.
