W22D5 – Dan’s Room Boarded and Waterfall in the kitchen

Today was a frustrating day for the builders and also, today was Arthur’s funeral at the crem and was the only real day I needed the shower during the day.

So guess what….  Joe and Darran managed to get the floor boards into Dan’s bedroom, all cut and laid all the insulation in place and then putting the final screw into the board and hit the main water pipe.  Darran bounced down the stairs and outside to shut off the main water as it was pissing down into the kitchen.  Up come the boards amongst a lot of cussing and shouting…  Darran arranged for a plumber to turn up to fix the leak – upshot being – my shower was now reduced to a cold bottle of water 5 minutes before leaving for the funeral.  Joy !

By end of play, the stud walls, flooring and ceiling in Dan’s room have been completed, network and power points placed in the right places.  The arch above the windows has been plastered and all ready to go for Monday/Tuesday.

Should be looking to knock thru the kitchen next Wednesday all being well.
