W21D2 – Bye Bye Oven – Hello Cladding

Couple of different areas of work today to keep the house ticking along.  Justin eventually sent over the External Chrome bathroom trims.  Neil turned up to start the cladding before Flicka could do his magic on the bathroom tomorrow.  Joe moved the stud partition for the shower for the 3rd time and we think this may actually now be the right place.  Neil was worried about not being able to make the patterns fit as the boards was all different, and unequal – I said that is what they was supposed to be like and just go with it.  So far it looks ok.

We finally decided that it was time for the retirement of the oven and it went with a group of Pikeys in a van to “Oven Heaven”.

Darran and Joe managed to get the rest of the lead flashing in and complete most of the down pipes and guttering for the front.

The chippie making the stairs came to measure up again and we should have those for the end of the week, or early next week.  Also showed me a nice gallows which is a little more decorative than the straight timber gallows, I asked to get a quote on both and we’ll see what the difference is.

Insulation for the kitchen also started today, but due to the wiring being all over, it’s a struggle getting it all in.
