W01D3 – Sewerage pipes exposed and DCWW Nightmare..

Day off as thought would be best to supervise a little on site.

Trying to sort Gas relocation application and have both the architect, and building inspector on site as there appears to be an issue with welsh water.  Our builder contacted Dwr Cymru – Welsh Water, (DCWW), to come out and inspect the work at the back where the storm drains had been exposed, only to find that DWCC has not given permission yet to proceed with the work as they now have issues with our plans.  The issue is not with our build, but with the re-routing of the waste pipe coming from next door.
So the builders have continued and excavated out the back to find out where the sewerage/storm drains are located, in the process manage to damage 2 of the sewerage pipes. Is there no end to the breakage hehehe….  Intending to repair before they leave, they continue on their merry way exposing the pipes.

At the end of the day they prepare to cut the fixes for the pipes only to find they have the wrong size collars and have to make a temporary fix for the kitchen gully and cover the other one.

Still no response from DCWW on our plans
